PRODUCTION & RECORDING Focusing on everything from writing and co-writing songs, arrangements, and pre-production to shaping the sound, setting up studio players/musicians, producing and programming everything herself, or simply recording artists and bands who are self-contained players — Vanessa assists in the recording process from start to finish, or at any stage needed. ARTIST DEVELOPMENT / GROWTH A Diamond Heart Production's Artist Development & Growth side functions much like a very hands-on manager or the old-school A&R departments of record labels. Back when there were larger budgets and fewer time constraints, labels would take bands and develop them over time.

Vanessa assists, works with, and teaches bands and artists to help them grow — ultimately preparing them to help themselves. Through focused one-on-one sessions (available by the hour or as long-term development), she helps artists with everything from planning timelines and building a brand, to developing a release strategy and understanding when to tour. Sessions may include guidance on social media, building a web presence, grassroots marketing, prepping for releases and touring, and expanding an artist’s team with PR, Radio and much more.

She also works with artists on improving their live sets, setting up their business structure, understanding songwriter societies (PROs, sound exchange, The MLC and understand publishing) and band agreements, developing merchandise, navigating the writing and song selection process, and preparing for recording and production. These are just a few of the many areas A Diamond Heart Production supports artists with.

Whether a band is indie or pop, Vanessa and A Diamond Heart Production are committed to helping artists stay true to who they are while developing the mindset and tools needed to build a brand, grow, and ultimately succeed.
